Under the expert organisation of Andrew, CDMDC contributed to this year's Shaw and Whitley summer fair by manning a stand dedicated to metal detecting with the benefit of raising the club's profile.  Assisted by Terry and Graham, the stand allowed those interested in detecting to 'have a go' on land that had been seeded with coins.  The event proved very popular and, consequently, the number of individuals wishing to join the club has grown.
